About the Book

“The Three Woes”

The thought of writing the first Three Woes book came from a chance encounter with a fellow Christian who had a deep interest in prophecy. Like many, he had always struggled to understand Revelation. He would ask a question and I would answer it. The more I answered, the more he asked. I eventually commented that I couldn’t do this one-on-one with everyone, I should probably try to capture the information in a book. Hence the first book of what would eventually become a four book series.

When I wrote the first book I still lacked a thorough understanding of much of Revelation especially the last 12 chapters. Two years after the first book, I wrote the second book, Making Revelation Simple. By this time, much of the last 12 chapters of Revelation were beginning to make sense, hence the title Making Revelation Simple. During these two years I began teaching PowerPoint classes where I was able to share my new-found understanding with others.

After I completed the second book, another Christian friend suggested that I write a commentary. A year later, The Revelation Commentary was published. It was the third book to be written but the fourth in the Three woes series. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first comprehansive commentary on the book of Revelation that ties Revelation together from Chapter 1 to Chapter 22 without any scriptural conflicts. Do I have everything correct? Probably not. However, it was written with prayerful devotion and consideration. Chapter 14 was a struggle. I read the commentaries of 14 or 15 scholars and everyone had a different interpretation of the chapter, yet none seemed to make sense. Finially, after many days of prayer and reading and rereading Chapter 14 the interpretation leaped off the page at me.

As soon as the commentary was published, I began work on the thrid book of the series, The New Jerusalem. To the best of my knowledge, the publishing of The New Jerusalem concludes the four book series.
